ABOUT US

Hestia Baking Company is a microbakery in Houston, Texas. Our focus is sourdough bread – bread baked using wild yeast starter as leavener. We are committed to baking bread the traditional way: by slow fermentation, using wholesome and simple ingredients – the way bread is supposed to be made.

We are proud to be a part of the Memorial Villages Farmers Market, which takes place every Saturday from 9am to 1pm. Our menu changes from week to week, so please visit us to see what we have on offer that week! We also post the menu on the News page, where you can preorder items for pickup at the market. Special orders can be made through our email or our contact page.


QUALITY INGREDIENTS

​In our everyday breads, you will find just three ingredients: flour, water, and salt. For our enriched breads, we use real butter and eggs laid by cage-free, vegetarian-fed hens.  You will never find preservatives, enhancers, artificial flavorings or coloring in any of our products. We use unbleached, unbromated, non-GMO flour milled from wheat that is grown exclusively in the US.

OTHER BAKED GOODS

We also produce other baked goods, including cookies, scones, tea cakes, and coffee cakes. We use the same high-quality ingredients in these treats as we do in our sourdough breads - unbleached flour, natural flavorings, and no preservatives.
